September 23rd, 2008 - MY NEW HIGH CHAIR

Yahoo!!! I got my new highchair. Grandma Barbara sent it to me, and I must say I do look very good in it. Now I can pound on the tray, shove my food on the floor and watch the dogs eat it, and have a safe place to sit and eat! On the menu this evening was carrots, spinach, green beans, and some brown rice. I'm also learning to use my thumb and fingers to grasp things so I had some banana flavored, puffy-crunchy, things that are easy to chew and melt in my mouth so I don't choke.

Jager is also learning new tricks, he will stay still and wait for the command to flip his nose and catch the puff!!

September 13th, 2008

This weekend we went and stayed at the Metolius River lodges. Dad secretly has been planning this weekend getaway for over a month. He wrote on mom's calendar "do not plan anything". Mom thought she left herself a note and forgot why...so last week she called dad at work and was asking why she'd blocked off the weekend without leaving herself any reminders on why. So dad had to explain to her that he did it and it was a surprise. So Friday after work, he said "pack some casual clothes, comfortable enough to hike in and something to wear to dinner tonight we have reservations at 7:00...so mom threw some stuff in a bag and away we went. Dad already had the pick-up packed with all of my stuff and his and we drove to Camp Sherman and started our weekend.

Here we are! At the fish hatchery on the Metolius River near Camp Sherman, OR. Mom has her eyes closed in this picture - oh well...all for the sake of photo documentation :)

Here we are at Wizard Falls.
Supposedly from a certain angle if you look at the falls it should appear as a "Wizard's hat". It's a beautiful blue color, but I'm not sure if I see the hat. I do think I need to learn how to fly fish soon though.

Mom is explaining to me about the fish hatchery.

Dad is showing me some huge Rainbow trout that escaped the fish hatchery and are in the pond, sometimes Bald Eagles, mink, otter, and bear catch fish out of this pond!!

I'm finally big enough for the back pack, so we went for a hike and I got to ride on Dad's back, we walked along the Metolius river, but we were sure not to get too close since the temperature of the river never gets highter than 47 degrees, it's spring fed and comes out of the ground and flows into lake Billy Chinook.
Mom is watching the fish and I'm watching dad! I'm laughing because mom threatened to feed me to the baby Rainbow Trout!
Mom finally got a picture of my teeth! Plus I'm rolling over from front to back now!
